Rule 3
Things to be maintained in smoking and tobacco consuming places

(1) The manager of a tourist level hotel may designate a place outside the hotel for the purpose of smoking and tobacco consumption so that the movement of people is reduced and the people who do not smoke or smoke are not adversely affected. However, the designated place should be far away from the hotel window and the entrance door to the hotel and arrangements should be made to prevent the smoke and smell emitted by smoking in such a place from entering the hotel. Explanation: For the purpose of this rule, "tourist level hotel" means a hotel registered under the Tourism Act, 2035.
(2) In accordance with subsection (3) of section 4 of the Act, the basic things to be maintained by the manager in the places designated for smoking and tobacco consumption in prisons and airports shall be as follows:-
(A) A room for smoking and tobacco consumption should be constructed with self-closing doors (b) arranging for the smoke emitted by smoking to escape directly from the room,
(c) To arrange the room in such a way that no more than one person can smoke or consume tobacco at a time. (3) If a tourist level hotel is unable to arrange a separate place for smoking and tobacco consumption as per sub-rule (1) due to lack of space, it may make necessary arrangements regarding smoking and tobacco consumption in a specific place by making arrangements as per sub-rule (2).
(4) According to sub-rules (1) and (2), no furniture such as chairs, tables etc. shall be placed in the designated place and room for smoking and tobacco consumption.
(5) In accordance with sub-rules (1) and (2), the manager shall post a notice stating that smoking and tobacco consumption is harmful to health in places and rooms designated for smoking and tobacco consumption in such a way that it can be easily seen and read.
